Granite and Marble are both natural stone surfaces. Each offers a remarkable array of color choices and one-of-a-kind patterns. Since, they are a natural stone and somewhat porous, they do require simple care to maintain their natural beauty. Granite is the least porous and should be sealed periodically depending on your use. You can place hot pots directly on a granite surface without fear of burning or scorching the surface. You can cut on granite as well as roll out dough for your favorite recipe, making granite a perfect surface for kitchen countertops.
Marble on the other hand is cool to the touch and is often used in kitchens for dough and candy making. However, it is not quite as durable as granite and is more often used in bathrooms for vanity tops, shower walls and flooring. Marble is also an excellent choice for fireplace surrounds and truly can be considered for any flooring area in your home.
CaesarStone®, sometimes referred to as Engineered Stone is comprised of 93% Quartz and high-quality polymer resins and pigments. It is a manufactured stone surface, non-porous, easy to maintain and comes in a wide range of consistent color choices.
ECO, by Cosentino is a durable surface made of 75% recycled content composed of post-industrial and post-consumer materials and is bound by an environmentally friendly resin which comes in part from corn oil. GO GREEN
Vetrazzo, is a line of exquisite surface materials crafted from recycled glass and used anywhere natural stone is used; countertops, tabletops, bathrooms and more. Vetrazzo surfaces offer a stunning and lively signature for residential projects. With over 85% recycled glass content, Vetrazzo allows homeowners to exhibit both their style and their respect for the earth and environment. GO GREEN
Travertine and Limestone can be used anywhere in your home. You can find both stones (as well as Marble) in sizes that range from as small as a 1/2 inch mosaic to a complete slab. Travertine, Limestone and Marble can be honed, tumbled or polished for use on countertops, flooring, backsplashes and bathrooms.
We recommend that customers select either Granite, CaesarStone®, ECO or Vetrazzo for their kitchen countertops, depending upon the specific look and color they prefer. All of the materials shown work equally well in bathrooms and other areas of your home.
